How to Prospect Using Facebook

Facebook is a huge source of potential clients and customers and professionals who overlook Facebook as a connection channel with prospects miss out big time. Here are three tips for prospecting using Facebook and getting positive results.

1. Create a Profile that Defines you

To find new clients, it's important to create a unique profile that showcases who you are and what you care about. How you present yourself on Facebook is a big factor in whether they visit, or even notice, your profile.

Providing your prospects with a profile that has information about your hobbies, interests, and beliefs increases your chances of bonding with them and attracting them to your profile. Allow your prospects to know who you are as an individual before they decide to connect with you.

2. Understand your audience

After creating your brand, you need to understand your audience. Always know the people you want to reach before deciding what to post on your page.

If you have trouble defining your audience, ask yourself what challenges you, as an individual, are facing and post about how you overcame them. You will be surprised by the many people that can relate to your challenges and how they will come looking for you for a solution. Share your personal experiences in an authentic way to raise awareness of the need for your services and show how you can help.

3. Be active and engaging

Being active and consistent on Facebook is essential. Create engaging posts and ask people to comment, join Facebook groups and offer value to these groups, and follow pages that you like and people that you love. The main goal is to make your prospects notice you and come into your inbox to contact you.

Facebook can be a valuable tool for prospecting, but only if you use it consistently to show who you are, what you care about, and how you can help Main Street USA.
