[Brian Haney](https://www.linkedin.com/in/brian-haney-thehaneycompanyfinancialguy/), CLTC, CFS, CIS, CFBS, LACP, CAE, NAIFA's [Young Advisor Team](https://tdc.naifa.org/yat) (YAT) Leader of the Year recently shared five keys to his success as a financial professional with [InsuranceNewsNet's](https://insurancenewsnet.com/) AdvisorNews. Haney is the Founder and Vice President of the [Haney Company](https://www.thehaneycompany.com/) in Silver Spring, MD. He has been a loyal NAIFA member since 2013 and is very engaged and active in our association.

Haney has served on the [Greater Washington D.C. chapter](https://gwdc.naifa.org/)’s Board for more than seven years. He is the current NAIFA-GWDC Young Advisor Team (YAT) Chair and a Past President of the chapter. He has chaired several other NAIFA-GWDC committees and served on the Board of NAIFA-MD. He is a 2015 graduate of NAIFA’s[ Leadership in Life Institute](https://tdc.naifa.org/lili) (LILI) and serves as a LILI Moderator.

He received NAIFA's Advisor Today 4 Under 40 award in 2017 and was honored as the 2018 NAIFA National [Diversity Champion](https://tdc.naifa.org/diversitychampion).

About his advisory practice, Haney told INN, “We aren’t right for everybody, but we are really perfect for certain people!”
