Running a live virtual webinar can be daunting, so it's good to learn the top tips for successful live webinar hosting. Cut down on stress by following these simple steps for hosting a successful webinar. ## 1. Plan ahead Live virtual webinars—whether hosted through Zoom, GoToWebinar, or another service, —require preparation. By planning how you'll conduct your webinar in advance, you can avoid unnecessary delays, present a professional appearance, and engage your audience. That's why it's important for you to take the time to plan out your live webinars and decide how they will be formatted, if the audience will be allowed to participate, and what kind of content will be covered.  ## 2. Organize your team and tools In order to make a live webinar work, everyone on your team needs a job that they'll be able to execute. Knowing the content of the webinar will help you decide which teammates to assign to which tasks. For example, if the webinar is going to feature a question and answer session, team members can formulate answers and choose how the segment will fit into the rest of the virtual meeting. If you're planning to present your webinar on your own, make sure you how to set up the event in your hosting platform, begin the webinar, share your screen if you're presenting digital content, and monitor the chat if you're allowing for attendee feedback. ## 3. Practice Practice makes perfect. Live events, even those in person, are difficult to organize. There are just as many logistical difficulties with virtual meetings, though the solutions aren't always clear.
